Jesse Wilcox needed just 2:35 to dispatch of Hungary’s Kristof Kovacs and improve to 12-0-2 in the main event at the St. Patrick’s Day Showdown at the Hamilton Convention Centre Saturday.

Fellow Hamilton native Kevin Higson also beat Jamaica’s Richard Holmes by split decision in the co-headliner, while Bradley Wilcox kept his undefeated streak alive (7-0-0) against Hungarian Jozsef Kontimer, who he ousted with a TKO in the third round.

Local lightweight Paul Ispas knocked out Hungary’s Patrik Pap to open the event — the proceeds of which were donated to Hamilton Food Share, which provides almost three million pounds of food to the city’s food banks and hot meal programs each year.
