A professional boxer from Cape Breton is preparing for the fight of his life this weekend before a hometown crowd.<\/p>\n

Ryan (The Bruiser)\u00a0Rozicki, 24, of Sydney Forks, is the current Canadian champion in the cruiserweight division.<\/p>\n

On Saturday,\u00a0he’ll take on Shawn (The Killer)\u00a0Miller, of Troy, N.Y., at Sydney’s Centre 200 for the WBC\u00a0International Silver cruiserweight championship.<\/p>\n

Rozicki, who has a 9-0\u00a0record with nine knockouts, calls it his biggest challenge\u00a0as he faces\u00a0an older and more experienced fighter.<\/p>\n

Miller, 37, started fighting when he was 12 and has been boxing professionally for eight\u00a0years. He’s 18-4-1.<\/p>\n

“There’s nothing he hasn’t seen in the ring,” said Rozicki. “I’m just looking forward to being there with such an experienced fighter.”<\/p>\n

Rozicki drifted into the sport after he got in trouble with the law as a teenager, which he said\u00a0included “a lot of street fights.”<\/p>\n
