Sydney, N.S. \u2014 Ryan Rozicki will put both his undefeated professional record and his WBC International Silver Cruiserweight title on the line when he steps back in the ring for a September bout in his hometown.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old Rozicki is set to take on a yet-to-be determined opponent when Three Lions Promotions presents \u201cThe Revival\u201d card on Sept. 11 at Centre 200 in Sydney.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are scouring the globe to find the best opponent for Ryan and it will be a guarantee that this will be his toughest bout to date,\u201d said Three Lions managing director Daniel Otter.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very important to build boxing back up in Canada after this pandemic and bring boxing back to Nova Scotia is exactly what is needed.\u201d<\/p>\n

After not fighting since February of 2020, Rozicki returned to the ring in April when defeated Montr\u00e9al\u2019s Sylvera (Sly) Lewis in Vancouver to improve his professional record to 13-0 while retaining his NABA Canadian Cruiser title.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI have been giving it my all in training and will give it my all in the ring come fight night,\u201d said the boxer who goes by the fighting name of The Bruiser.<\/p>\n

While Rozicki\u2019s opponent has yet to be named, the undercard of the September event will feature Fredericton\u2019s Brandon Brewer (25-1-1, 11 KOs) and Jessie Wilcox (15-0, 9 KOs) of Hamilton, Ont. The card will also feature Antoni Napolitano (5-0, 3 KOs) of St. Catherines, Ont., Carolyn Redmond (3-0, 2 KOs) of Guelph, Ont. and Jake Daoust (2-0, 1 KO) of Orangeville, Ont.<\/p>\n

Local Cape Breton talent is also expected to be added to the card.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n
